AMS_1089 MARS

Butter - Central U.S.

Released on June 27, 2025

In the Central region, spot loads of cream are available. Contacts report fat
content in milk remains up from a year ago, but increasing temperatures are
causing milk components to decline week-to-week. Ice cream makers are scooping
up spot loads of cream to increase production, to keep pace with summer demand.
Butter makers are also utilizing available spot cream volumes to run busy
production schedules. Contacts report domestic butter demand is softening, but
export butter demand remains strong. Spot loads of butter are available to meet
current market demands, and some butter makers are freezing recent production
to build inventories for use later in the year.
